Newham Safe School Streets

Project overview:

Newham Borough Council had implemented a ban on certain types of traffic around schools during morning arrival and afternoon home-time. This was to increase safety for children walking to school and to reduce pollution in the school area. The council wanted a film that showed the impact of the new scheme including teacher, parent and pupil perspectives.

The Solution:

We sent our crew to capture footage of two schools involved in the scheme. We captured interviews from key players, including a parent, as well as footage of the new safer streets.
We used aerial filming to trulty capture the scale of the project and how much it has reduced traffic and increased safety.
