The Merchant of Venice with Studio 3 Arts

Project overview:
The site-specific theatre piece aimed to bring the Shakespeare classic to the people of Barking within the real locations of Barking.

The Solution:
A two-person crew followed the rehearsal process with the actors and behind the scenes crew, capturing rehearsal and interview footage. We then had a three-person crew follow the action of the play as it moved around the town including the library, high street and town hall council chamber. The footage was edited into a full length version of the play and a 20 minute documentary about the whole experience.
